Urgent Prayer Request / June Prayer Letter

Filed under: Prayer Letters — Marc at 10:04 pm on Thursday, June 28, 2007

Happy Fourth of July!
We have an urgent prayer request for you. 41 Campus Crusade associates are on trial this month in Asia. For security reasons, that is all I can tell you. Please pray for their safety and for God to miraculously lay it on the judge’s heart to set them free.

They have asked us to pray specifically that:

  • God will fill their hearts with the joy of the Lord and His peace that surpasses all understanding, while they remain in prison.
  • God will continue to use them inside the prison, as He has already, for the salvation of many more souls. He is doing mighty things!
  • The word of the Lord in Luke 21:13-15 “It will lead to an opportunity for your testimony for I will give you utterance and wisdom which none of your opponents will be able to resist or refute,” will become true when the trial starts.
  • The judges will be overcome with a deep sense of righteousness, justice and fear of the Lord.

It is a fitting reminder of how grateful Evangeline and I are for political and religious freedom. Please check out our prayer letter to find out how you can pray for us this summer. We are busy with great ministry opportunities and your prayers are absolutely invaluable to us.

With love,

Marc and Evangeline

We are townhouse owners! God moved to bring everything into line at the last minute. We are so grateful to have a place close to Campus Crusade we can live in for a long time to come (God willing).

Please, check out our prayer letter to see pictures of our townhouse, hear about how God miraculously made it possible for us to buy, read prayer requests from the staff members at Virginia Tech and get an update on Evangeline’s brother in Iraq. We thank God for your prayers!

In Christ,
Marc and Evangeline

From townhouses to deployed family, we are grateful for your prayers!

March has been an amazing month. In the midst of coming closer to finding a new place to live, we found out Evangeline’s brother, William, is being deployed. We are incredibly proud of him. But it will also be hard to say goodbye. When life gets crazy, I am so grateful to know you are praying for us. Thank you. Our prayer requests and more details are in March’s prayer letter.

In Christ,

Marc

PS: Here’s my favorite quote of the month: Tony Dungy was at it again Monday morning. He was barely a minute into the day-after news conference when he invoked the dreaded L word. Lord. For being one of the first black head coaches in the Super Bowl and leading the Colts to victory, perhaps Dungy’s most amazing feat was making it socially acceptable to thank God.
